Let’s face it: Minecraft burglaries are completely destroying the property value of Minecraft and we don’t got no police chief so we need to fix the problem ourselves and your base isn’t safe unless you go full redstone wizard.
Secret doors = Harry Potter feeling + the best way to keep the ops out of your loot.

If you’ve ever tried hiding your base with dirt blocks, just know that your ancestors are disappointed, even hunter/gatherers were better than that.
The simplest secret door = a block that can move + a way to open it that isn’t obvious ez.
What you need:
- Sticky pistons (because normal pistons are more useless than a leaf in a forest)
- Redstone (MAGIC DUST!)
- Pressure plates, buttons, or levers (keys to your kingdom)

Ever wanted to walk through a wall like a ghost? No? You’re a human, its physically impossible? You’re missing out bro but Good news: Minecraft lets you break reality.
Steps to build:
1. Punch a Steve sized hole in a wall.
2. Place signs inside the doorway (because paintings can’t float, duh dumbo!).
3. Slap a big boy painting over the gap.
4. Walk through like how one walks through something smh.
Downside? It’s the most obvious secret door, Every Minecraft burglar knows this trick.

Basic idea: Iron doors can’t be opened without redstone, so we hide the button that activates them and if you don’t then we don’t take any responsibility.
How to hide the button if you don’t know where to do so:
- Behind a painting (hidden squared)
- Behind a chest (inconspicuous as hell)

Connect it with redstone, make sure the wiring isn’t exposed, and you’re done

1. Lay out 10 sticky pistons (make them face each other, this is kinda a big brain move).
2. Place blocks inside so they get pushed when activated.
3. Cover it all up with one clean layer of blocks.
4. Add redstone repeaters (set them to the right delay or prepare for a comically delayed entry).
5. Wire up the redstone and connect it to a lever, button, or when the hot neighbour comes back from work just so you know.
